Midnight Rodeo

OOOOOK, first off today I went swimming with Amanda at the Alexan apartments, which always has something interesting going on. Today there was this poor little boy(like 4 years old) and his dog at the pool, and then these two adults, who appeared to be with him. Then the big bad alexan lady walked out and started speaking harshly at the boy because he had his dog in the pool. She asked him if he was there by himself and he said "no they are watching me" and pointed to the 2 adults...then the adult lady is like "No! We're not with him." This situation is funny either way because A) either that kid is just crazy and decided to bring strangers into it or B) that lady just left her son out to dry. heh. So then i came home and planned to nap, but nathan/austin were over to hang out with claire..and interesting conversation always occurs with them so i never napped...then the night really begun.

Amanda, Mel, Bev(Gab's friend from FL) and I all met at Gab's house and went to this club Midnight Rodeo...we all figured it would be fairly lame because "teen nights" normally are. Right we were. It was so funny though because its just SO entertaining to watch the people at those things...what on earth are they doing. These 2 girls for some reason or another decided to hate us and were talking smack about us, and then kicked mel/gab...what the heck. Then we all went to IHOP where these GROSS guys were watching us walk in through the window, then amanda and I were on one side of the table and as we were all laughing and talking, i slowly realize one of the guys had out his phone and was taking pictures of Amanda and I. CREEPS! So that of course made us laugh more. I forgot to mention this, but the funniest thing was when we first walked into IHOP for some reason mel started singing "A Moment Like This" and this hippie guy and his eclectic friends just started cracking up at her...it was pretty humerous. I have to work tomorrow...-_- and im praying Shane wont be there!!!
Laura

So in light of the fact that Jamie Nan Clark is about to get her wisdom teeth out, i decided to do an entry dedicated to her....not that that has anything to do with teeth or wisdom for that matter.

    JAMIE NAN CLARK

Jamie and my friendship bloomed in 8th grade, unfortunately some of you may remember the "goons", at least we thought we were cool, oh well. Anyways, she not only has helped me with my faith, but she is just awesome to be around. I dont know how many times we've watched the movie "This Time Around" together...but I could go for a few more. We bum around a lot...which is grrrrreat because thats what i enjoy. So Bun...I <3 U!

                                                             laura

a wop bop uh loo bob/ a wop bam boom

Ok, so lets see lets see, this past week i've been working and such, but that's not interesting, except some 65 year old lady told me i looked exactly like her best friend from highschool....and acted like i was supposed to say something to agree. "YES! ITS ME!!!!!" please. Anyways on Tuesday we had the first of the optional majestic dance classes. It was so fun! I like when we get to do stuff that is laid back. After that Amanda, Claire and I went to Wendy's where we laughed way too much and way too loud, but thats what Lovitt and I do. Wednesday...i really cant remember what I did during the day, but that night I spent the night at the lovely GAB's!!! Amanda and Melody went too, and Gab's Floridian friend Bev is in town. We watched Hide and Seek and then this horrible movie called Jawbreaker...which from the looks of it is a teenie bopper movie...but once you watch it you realize how sick it is. I always forget how funny Melody is, even though i mean...i know she's funny, her wit never fails to amaze me(too bad she is SO ugly)hehe juuuuuuuust KIDDING!So, then this morning I went to the last Majestic Dance class and Amanda Sampson had us do partner stretches which worked really well, but would look very much like sexual harassment to outsiders. Then Amanda, Claire, and I went to sonic where we got to use Amanda's employee discount...thanks buddy! Oh and I almost forgot, i went through my Sandlot all of the time phase earlier this summer...but now i've been watching Grease a bunch, Amanda and I used to make movies acting out grease when we were like 7 but, we obviously didnt understand what we were saying... "She was good you know what i mean" "25cent insurance policy"....Im sure our parents were very worried about us. Anyways so after dance Amanda, Gab, Bev and I went swimming. I just recently got home from seeing War of the Worlds with Lovitt. Good stuff, good stuff. You know how there are just those ANNOYING people in movies though....you all know what I mean. Well that guy was sitting right behind me, smacking on his food, breathing heavily, kicking the seat and blowing his nose which DID NOT NEED TO BE BLOWN at least 15 times in a row. ugh. But the movie was good...wrapped up a little quickly but eh. Any whoozles im off...and if you read this congrats, and my sincerest apologies.

why do i even bother with this thing

oh boy, i havent written in this for a long long time. Now I can write an entry though because my life has been somewhat interesting the past week or so.
Well it all started out a few weeks ago when Brittni told me i should go apply at johnny carinos, i did, and got the job. Orientation was interesting because I was with 2 other girls...and i wont say any more for fear one of them might one day get my sn or something. Anyways the first day of training i walk in and meet this guy shane...who has begun to ruin my life. He is just a gross, weirdo who cant seem to take a hint that I not only dont want to date him, but i would specifically like to see him get beaten. Anyways...so other then that work has been fun, unfortunately b-rit and I havent worked any shifts together. We get an occassional class together though.
Other then working, i've been bumming around/I went to Port Aransas this past weekend which was pretty fun NOT TO MENTION included a great surprise because Kaitlyn Flynn was at the exact same hotel as we were...weiiiird. Unexpectedly, my cousin Matthew had a few days off from flight school and decided to come hang with us so that was cool aswell. When i got home today, i told my self i wouldnt be hanging out with anyone from the family because i'd had way too much family togetherness...then of course i ended up hanging out with Claire. Nathan and Claire picked me up and we went to get Katie, then on to Zilker Park to quickly find out that was NOT the place we wanted to be. Katie and her magical powers got us into a movie free at Gateway (nothing illegal kids) and we saw Madagascar which had the ultimate random humor...but was funny none the less. Then we met up with some people at Amy's ice cream (and i've always had something against amy's ice cream) but that was short lived and here I am. Unfortunately i have to work tomorrow night...ugh! Hopefully that wont be too bad. Hopefully.
Laura

SOOOOOOOOOO this past week was Line Camp for Maji. Fun yet tiring stuff. Starting with Monday where we told our little sisters that we were their big sisters! Yay for Marissa! Then learned the kick which isnt so bad. That night i went swimming with the LOVELY Tara KAFENA....so i loaded up on her annoyingness because i knew i'd be with out it for a few days. (juuuuuust kidding) Tuesday, pom and ladder routine gaba gaba hey. THEN Wednesday we all left for TbarM in New Braunsfels which was soooooo great. The food SUCKS though, they served chicken for every meal...and not good chicken. I think it was the same chicken the whole time, just cut in different ways. Cut to the last day where i had the best fall of my life. I was walking backwards with Samantha Perez and there was a flower bed like 3 feet up and surrounded by wood. I flipped over it, legs flying above my head and before i knew what was going on, i was on the floor. It was HI-larious. Unfortunately i bruised a blood vessle or something in my left hand and have a grey bump on it...hopefully that will dissapear. Still, it was worth the humour. Then i got to come home with CAIT-A-LIN in the car! That girl cracks me up. Last night my Brother Keith and his Wife came over....and that was hiiiighly entertaining. Signing off...

                                                                         ~Laura

OHHHHHHHHHH MY goodness. Tara's live journal has inspired me to start making entries again. Ok so tons has happened since i quit, and I wont bother talking about stuff past this last week. Monday morning I went to the Hyatt for Officer camp (The real OC) which was tons of fun! The incredibly long days and minimal hours of sleep provided for delirium which always makes things funny! I took a four hour nap when i got home and then slept 11 hours last night. Now im refreshed. I only have these few days to rest, then monday its off to line camp, which will hopefully be fun. I hope summer doesnt go by too fast. Im about to go get Tara Kafena to break into the alexan to go swimming:) So until then....

                                                                                     Laura

I hate making up subject titles...way too much pressure

So today started out magnificently, we had new team practice. Im really missing Melody already. I guess I will have to just get one of those life size cardboard poster things of her and carry it around with me. And record her voice, nothing too weird though.:). Anyways, so this morning in Maj we had those self defense people come teach us. Of course, all of those things are nice if the attacker is in the exact position and has 0 reflexes but...i still think natural instinct will come and you are either agressive or you're not. Math shmath. Health was mildly humerous as usual. Then in chemistry nothing too exciting. After school i took a nap then woke up and actually READ my chapter for chemistry while I waited around to give Todd Claire's Composition book...he never came and only when I asked bothered to tell me he wasnt coming, sweet kid. Then Meg and I went to Ihop and had THE MOST HILARIOUS waiter ev-er. If any of you have seen the Seinfeld with the quiet talker...he was one of those. Plus he asked our preferences about EVERYTHING...these are literal quotes not exaggerations.

W:"For your eggs how would you like them?"
L:"Scrambled please"
W:"And would you like them scrambled light, medium or hard"
L:"umm....medium I guess"
W:"Ok and for the sausage we have the choice of links or patties"
L: "links"
W:"Ok, great, and for the pancakes you would maybe like some strawberries, bananas, blueberries"
L:"No thanks, just plain"
W:"Butter on top or to the side?"
L: "On top is fine."
(turning to meg)
W: "Ok for you're strawberry pancakes would you like 4 or 2?"
M: "2 please"
W: "Ok and would you like the strawberries on top or two the side"
M: "To the side"
W: "Ok and would you like whipped cream on them?"
M: "yes please"
W: "ok and would you like powedered sugar on top of the whipped cream?"
M: "No thanks"
W: "Allright great, ok and for your french fries would you like them well done or really lightly done?" (like they make individual batches of french fries)
M: "I guess just medium"
W: "Ok great"
(2 minutes later brings us our diet cokes and the condiments)
W:" I brought you the maple syrup but for you with the strawberry pancakes you may want the strawberry syrup we have on the end"
M: "Thanks"
(comes right back)
W:"By the way would you like me to bring some lemons for your diet cokes?"
L&M: "no...its ok"
W: "OK great"
(30 seconds later)
W: "Oh yeah, by the way I have some of your meal already done would you like me to bring it out now or later"
................I think you all get the point, this went on the whole night. Im sorry but sir SHUT UP.

Which reminds me. This weekend was fun filled. Friday night I went shopping with Amanda Lovitt and Melody Afkami. Fun stuff! Then eventually that night we wound up at Jack in the Box. It was probably like 1030 or 11 when we went there and the guy was one of those overly peppy guys who talks way to much. He kept saying "not a problem" about EVERYTHING....even when we were helping him out."O, i think i can give you exact change" "NOT A PROBLEM" I NEVER SAID IT WAS A PROBLEM! Then it was awkward when amanda was asking about milkshakes and he got very bitter and told us he couldnt have them because he is a diabetic. Then I heard him annoying every single customer. Finally he comes up and vaccuums right next to our table and is like "HEy im not trying to bother y'all....you know i just wanna get this done, and blah blah blah" So we were all cracking up because if you dont want to bother us shyut up. Then as we are leaving "have a great night, thanks for stopping in, drive home safely, we hope you come back soon, have a good weekend." -_- I know I sound like such a jerk, but does anyone else hate overenthusiastic workers who just dont get that its not their place to converse with you about everything. I just always have to fight back laughter.
Saturday was funfilled and ended in Majestic's Banquet that night which was beautiful. Sunday I didnt do anything important.
12 more days

cuz i want it all our nothin at all

So today started out smashingly when melody called me and woke me up. Too bad it was 930 and my alarm failed me. Plus my family all left early. So i was already 30 minutes late to school, so i got up and rushed to get ready. When i was leaving i looked in my purse for my keys...nothing in there. After dumping out my purse/majestics bag I remembered...OH YEAH i oh so generously lent claire the keys last night, and she forgot to put them back:) She is so sweet sometimes. So, after freaking out a little, Amanda came to get me! Thanks Buddy!!! So then in English Claire came into talk to me and I almost slapped her...but after she left this girl was like "WHO WAS THAT...as soon as she walked in you looked so pissed!" Looked? Anyways so now im home and I've been listening to old songs such as All or nothing by O town. Come on Over by "xtina", Im like a bird by nelly furtado, and the best: My baby by little romeo. All solid gold. So tonight i guess i will be getting a certain something for my mom for banquet tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great weekend and listens to the before mentioned songs...your mood will improve instantly guaranteed.
~

Allright after marriage counseling with my lj, I realized that I can just try to update more, then he will be happy and not be so unproductive. So today started off with a non-bang: Claire and I had a little talk about unfortunate happenings and both ended up sobbing in majestics. Then math was humerous, health was as always and chemistry blew because our sub was a jerk. She started taking roll before the bell rang, and so of course we are all like "um ma'am, people arent here yet because that was just the warning bell."(she completely disregards our comments and continues) Then she gets so frustrated that she has to take roll again. DUH YOU MO-RON! So then after school i went to HEB with Gab and Amanda. Fun. Then to officer tryouts which is so emotionally exhausting. Which leads me to my next point that i am soooo tired and am going to bed.
~Laura

Ok...well i wrote a whole entry last night that apparently failed to log into the whole thing So thank you again mr. Journal....live journal. Anyways, today was fairly uneventful. Majestics, Math, Health, Chemistry. Umm....Starbucks, nap, Officer meeting. There is a high chance that I will fail the math taks tomorrow seeing as I remember 0 from geometry. So that's hip. My little sister is currently flippin out about the straightener breaking. It's funny how the little things send her so over the edge. Im excited about late start on wednesday! That shall be glorious to the extreme. This whole week should be pretty easy seeing as teachers all cut us a break so their pay wont get docked when they are found to be inadequate teachers as people fail. My brother is getting married this weekend which i am amazingly excited about!!! But I am singing at the wedding and havent learned the song yet:) Well i guess i should get on that.
A-town

T A R A

This entry is entirely dedicated to the wonderful human being that is Tara Kafena. I have known this girl for about 8 or 9 years I suppose, and while our first few years of "friendship" we truly despised eachother, we soon became magnificent friends! In eighth grade, Tara and I always used to go on walks together and that was so much fun, we also did some pretty dumb things involving doorbells:/. oh well. Not only did i spend both this past friday, and saturday night at her house watching movies that made us cry (Notebook, then Ladder 49) but I also have many fun filled facts about her:
1) Tara is a youngin for a 10th grader, birthday Oct. 26 1989
2) Tara is a hilariously random/highly funny person.
3) Tara has a few neighbors that are strange
4) Tara has one neighbor i love very much...her name is L. Bolles
5) Tara is be-a-utiful
6) Tara has a HUGE dog(shaft) and a TINY dog(Teddy)
7) Tara is an amazing cheerleader and has unfortunately eyewitnessed me attempting a backflip
8) Tara's nicknames always fail.

Well, now that everyone thinks im obsessed with you t ray, are you happy nowww?
~Laura

I heart TK

may the evening bring your favorite night

Ok well today was eventful yet a fairly lazy sunday. Highlights, going up to mcneil with my partner in crime Amanda Lovitt to get our much needed items out of the dance room. However, upon arriving, the front doors are locked. But never ever leave before checking all the doors in the row. So, we got in, dance room=locked. Ugh...so then we start walking towards the theatre wing etc. See some teacher who informs us not a soul else is in the building(well she obviously didnt say that...but same gist) so then we keep on walking and realize we are gated in so...i see a light in one of the offices by the attendance window that leads to the AP offices and such...we go in, peruse through all of the rooms, consider stealing animal crackers but decide against it, and then finally end up in the ap office by the "main mall". I was thinking we might have the option of picking the lock to get into the dance room. Calm down you devout majestics, we werent gonna break it, just ya know. So, there was a little bowl of paper clips and I took one for the road. After breifly chatting with Monson, we proceeded on and had to keep hoping for doors to be unlocked to give us access to the halls that were gated off, and at this point we have no other option, because we are trapped in, so we go through the boys p.e locker room or "mens" p.e locker room as they call it. So, that was awkward because it sounded like someone was showering, plus if someone were to see us, it would be hard to explain. "ohhhh no we arent trying to look around the boys locker room, just break into the dance one:)" So that worked out, yada yada maze maze, we get back to the dance hall, try to pick the locks, unsuccessful. Return home 45 minutes later quite upset. Then I went to Chuys and came home and went to barnes n noble. What a day, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
~Laura

skippidy doo dah

Today was exquisite! This morning, I woke up and went to lakeline mall to get Amanda Lovitt's Birthday present. After being INFURIATED because the dumbo charlotte russe saleslady apparently didnt put one of the bracelets i bought her in the bag. So i get all my frustrations up, and plan to call the lady and be quite terse about how its too late now, because i needed it to give to Amanda in the next 30 minutes. I was overly mad because I had also gotten scammed pricewise. So i call and of course lose all of my fury and am really nice to the lady. UGH i wish i could be meaner sometimes. Sometimes i desperately need to be nicer. NEVER at the right time. So then Amanda's surprise little lunch went well i think. Then i came home, and was SHOCKED to see my sister with reddish hair! I like it though, she looks pretty edgy. Just a shockeroo. Also, gross story of the day: My whole house has smelt AWEFUL recently and everyone but me kept blaming the dog. So this morning I told my dad it was not the dog, but something outside. Turns out, upon entering the garage he discovers my dumbo brother took a turkey out of the freezer in there, and left it in the a box in the hot garage(this was last week) so...needless to say, it smelt horrible! I also sung at the confirmation mass today, it went pretty well i think minus a few annoyances. Now, I await finding out what im doing tonight. I hope everyone has a smashing saturday.
~Laura

Today blew due to likely chemistry test failure. Claire and I fought after school and until just now were pretty steamed at eachother. She lost her car keys and wants to use the car tonight, I want to use the car tonight, and keep track of my keys. So she approaches me asking me to borrow my keys for the night, and im like double you tee eff, I have everything to gain here. So she says im rude and I explain that not wanting to lend her my keys to swipe the car from my grip isnt being rude. Her retaliation: "Well in all fairness, you have lost your cell phone before." Which had absolutely NOTHING to do with the situation at all, after staring at her in disbelief we both started cracking up and humored by her idiotic come back, i lent her my keys.
Any ways, so nothing else happened today, unsure of what is happening tonight. Yada Yada Yada.
~Laura

UH MAN DUH

OK i have written this so many times, but it keeps deleting it(I hate you sir Live Journal)

Annnnyways today is AMANDA LOVITT'S 16th BIRTHDAY!!!!! I have been SO blessed to have this girl as my bff for the past 9+ years and love her dearly as im sure you all do! If you havent wished her a happy birthday yet i advise you do...or else.

So school was aight. NHS...borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring. Majestics we had cake(upgrade) and Mrs. Kosh stamped my hand in frustration. English i got a pass to leave to do a mediation which was my first one whoop. Then in lunch we were eating rolos and i took the little foil wrappers and put them on my teeth, much to gab, sampson and Kat's amusement. I looked quite ghetto-fabulous if I do say so myself. Then at the end of french Monson and I discovered a buncha papers under a desk, left from the last class period. Monson told me Todd sat in that desk, so being the kind, noble person I am, I decided to bring them to him. Well, upon giving them to him he not only informed me that they werent his, but he and Bobby proceeded to mock me for bringing them to him. Thanks. Then in WHAP I discovered I got a one oh oh on my COT essay! Take that suckaaaaaaas! Bringing me to now, where i sit and tell the details of my life to you fine people! Have a great day!
~Laura

Kinda faded but I feel alright

I didnt mean to type two opener entries...sorry. Anyways today was tres bien! 91 on math test and ice cream in chemistry. Not to mention oodles of good times in health. Ok, i hope most of you are familiar with perrier water(no clue how to spell it) It is sparkling water. The naturally carbonated water is found deep beneath their springs somewhere in France. Several negative nellys in Health disagreed and said that was impossible. If anyone knows how to scientifically explain this A) you are extremely strange and B) inform me. Anyways, tonight there is Guys practice which is always really fun, and by fun, i mean funny. Side note:My lovely older sister Claire made me the incredibly wonderful Benny Rodriguez picture! I thought he was such hot stuff(MAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYBE I still do) in elementary when i first saw the glorious movie that is Sandlot. Sadly, a movie made for kids, is possibly my dads favorite. Lastly, if the lines from my subject look like familiar lyrics, you are trying to think of the song Faded by Soul Decision. SUCH a disgusting/cheezy incredible song. It probably would be under the same category as songs such as "Summer girls" and "No more" Hopefully you will now spend a day with one of those stuck in your head!

hehe

~LAURA

Hoorah! This is my first little livejournal thing. So we'll see how it goes. If i get 0 response then i'll post 0 more entries. Its a bit o' an experiment, especially because claire's is such a hit, lies and all. In any case, currently im in the kitchen with my family being EXTREMELY annoyed by my dad for discussing stressful things in a casual way. Tonight we had the Majestic Potluck which was pretty fun actually! The food was tres bien, and the games were mediocre. We played a little wedding game where you dress people in news paper. Mel came home with me after school which was fun just because i love her company oh so much! At the potluck amanda and i were climbing the banisters of the stairs in the hallways as she apperently(without informing me) sees mrs. kosh standing behind us...making for a humerous situation. Within the mere 3 minutes since i started writing this...my family has switched from the annoying conversation to yelling at eachother about sugar(?)Urf! Today in history we had two speakers from UT come to talk about Latin America. One of the guys was actually born and raised in Peru. Cool, yes, but it also called for him to be EXTREMELY defensive. "What do y'all think of Latin America's economy" "Well, in general a fairly poor popu-" "EVERYONE THINKS THAT! You know, Americans have the same economic problems they do, they are not poor, of course some are, but same as in America."
Callete Senor! (Thanks Jamie)
Adios for now!
Laura
